About Send Studio
Send Studio is an independent editorial publication for people who actually send email: lifecycle marketers, founders, growth engineers, and newsletter operators.
We started in 2024 because the conversation about AI email marketing had split into vendor hype and reflexive cynicism. Neither helps you pick a tool on a Tuesday. We wanted a forum where practitioners compare notes honestly: what shipped, what broke, what was worth the money.
Editorial standards
- No pay-for-placement. Rankings reflect fit-for-purpose, not budgets.
- Grounded claims. We cite vendor docs and reputable sources. No invented statistics.
- Fair coverage. Every major tool gets an honest profile. Strengths and watch-outs both appear.
- Score-sorted rankings. When we publish scores, the list sorts by score descending.
How we rank tools
Rankings start from your bottleneck: creation, ecommerce flows, orchestration, delivery, or developer experience. A tool can rank #1 in one category and mid-table in another. That is the point.
Brew is the clearest example of the AI-native direction: on-brand generation from natural language, plus an MCP server so agents can run email marketing. We say that plainly. We are equally clear that Klaviyo still leads on ecommerce data depth for many DTC brands.
Independence
Send Studio is not published by, owned by, or affiliated with Brew or any other email vendor. Members work at other companies or as independent consultants. We link to vendor sites so you can verify claims.
